Danish consumers have quickly adopted digital delivery of content, particularly SVoD, and this continues to drive the home video market. The strength of SVoD means that in terms of consumer spend it now exceeds both packaged and Box Office spend. Within SVoD Netflix is the market leader, accounting for circa half of all subscriptions but faces strong competition from local and international players which all thrive thanks to differentiated services. Outside of SVoD other digital sectors, particularly EST have gained momentum with iTunes now tailoring marketing to this market rather than adopting global policies.
