This comprehensive meeting room camera market report reviews the performance of the global market, with historical data and five year forecasts. It explores the opportunities for 360-degree cameras, PTZ cameras and fixed cameras in meeting rooms.
Based on Futuresource Consulting’s own in-depth industry knowledge, supported by direct feedback from vendors and component suppliers, the report provides market sizing, sales forecasts, and technology and competitive reviews.
Futuresource defines meeting room cameras as all cameras which are used with workplace cloud conferencing platforms. These range from personal solutions and professional webcams to 360-degree cameras, PTZ cameras and fixed cameras.
Global meeting room camera volumes grew from 1.59 million units in 2022 to 1.63 million units in 2023, representing an increase of 3%. This relatively flat growth reflects 1 the difficult market conditions of 2023, with leading vendors such as Huddly, HP Poly and Logitech all reporting a decline in sales.
360 cameras are becoming more mainstream, with Kandao announcing two new models in May 2023 and Neat Center launching in late 2023. With HP/Poly announcing the Poly Studio E360 Center-of-Table Companion at Enterprise Connect in March 2024, the industry will see more instances of 360-degree cameras being used in multicamera systems to support the concept of meeting equity.
Vendors are prioritising strategic product partnerships to offer a more comprehensive product portfolio, and therefore differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive market. AVer has been particularly active in the establishment of partnerships, having collaborated with Airtame, Astrogate, Nureva, Q-SYS and Sennheiser during 2023.
