In 2024 the Dutch total entertainment market spend reached €3.6 billion, with a 6% growth year-on-year. The SVoD sector is continuing its momentum; it is the key driver of growth in the market and is set to overtake Pay-TV spend by 2027. The Pay-TV sector remains a significant backbone in terms of spend at 49% in 2024 from migration to IPTV and SVoD aggregation strategies helping to retain consumers. Digital transactional and box office were challenged in 2024 due to the weaker slate of new release content, but it’s expected to bounce back in 2025.
