The Dutch video entertainment market grew well in 2016 following continued pay-TV growth which accounted for 74% of the €2.3 billion total video revenues. SVoD momentum continues with Netflix still gaining new subscribers and is augmented by Videoland which offers a differentiated service. Consumer spend on SVoD is expected to more than double between 2016 and 2020 and in 2020 is forecast to comprise 77% of Home Video (Packaged and Digital).
