Total Norwegian video entertainment market spend grew the fastest of all the Nordics, by 5% to reach NOK12 billion. This growth was due to a thriving SVoD market, continued EST growth, a strong box office performance as well as growth of subscription pay-TV spend, one of the few Western European countries to be doing so. Total entertainment spend is expected to average 2% growth per year throughout the forecast period of 2017 to 2021 with annual spend expected to reach NOK 13 billion in the last year of forecast.
