The Polish video entertainment market continues to achieve marginal growth with total revenues forecast to expand by 1% during 2016 to PLN 7.7 billion, this follows a growth of 4% experienced during 2015. The outlook for the remainder of the decade is for a further modest growth in overall consumer spend as the market migrates to digital. 2015 was the first year that digitally delivered content outperformed packaged media in terms of market share with the early momentum being provided by Pay–TV VoD. Moving forward the emergence of SVoD will drive the growth in home video spend and by 2020 digital video services are forecast to represent 93% of overall home video revenues. This report reviews the overall video entertainment market in Poland, assessing the impactors and drivers as the sector continues its transition to digital.
