The consumer photo-merchandise market is exhibiting healthy growth in the USA, with market value rising by 20% in 2012 and 15% in 2013. Growth varies by product, with the fastest growing segment, canvas prints (and other substrates) seeing around 60% growth in 2012 and over 35% in 2013.

In this report, photo-merchandise refers to: consumer photo-calendars, wall décor, photo-cards and single image gifts. Wall décor includes two key segments: poster prints (typically silver halide) and canvas prints. Within canvas prints, we include other substrates such as acrylic, alu-dibond, hard foam board, vinyl etc. Single image gifts includes items such as mugs, phone covers, jigsaw puzzles, mouse mats and cushions.
