As the professional audio industry continues to evolve and the consumer audio industry continues to search for new opportunities, we are now beginning to see a convergence of two once divided markets. On this, the 5th anniversary of the Audio Collaborative event, Futuresource is delighted, for the first time to bring together industry heavyweights from the two colliding worlds of professional and consumer audio, to discuss the technology and market drivers that are blurring the lines between these sectors. Hosted at the stylish Ham Yard Hotel, attendees will see first class presentations and panels from industry titans and Futuresource experts on the growth and the crossover of business opportunities for the entire audio ecosystem.

This year's Audio Collaborative event will be an all-day event. Registration will begin at 9.30am and conclude at 5.00pm, with a networking drinks reception to follow. Buffet lunch, canapes, drinks and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Theunis Scheepers, Country Manager, Alexa Voice Services - Amazon

Theunis is the Country Manager for the Alexa Voice Service (AVS) in the UK, a services that enables device makers to integrate Alexa directly into connected products. He’s been with Amazon for just over six years and previous to this role launched the Amazon Beers, Wines and Spirits business in the UK. Prior to Amazon, Theunis worked for Home Retail Group and The Fosters Group.


Bryan Sutton, Director, Technical Sales - Microsoft

Bryan Sutton is currently the Director of Technical Sales for Americas & EMEA at Microsoft based out of the UK. In this role, he leads the technical sales team that drives solution design-ins on the Microsoft platform across the Americas " EMEA regions, delivering the innovation and development of new products & services with OEM partners, across the Consumer, Commercial, Education & IoT channels. Bryan has worked for 25 years in the IT delivery sector, starting out with UNIX systems, UNIX/Windows integration, spending a period at Intel in the hosting business and has now been at Microsoft in a variety of technical sales roles since 2000.


Cliff Fluet, Partner - Lewis Silkin LLP

Cliff joined Lewis Silkin LLP as a Partner in April 2006 after over a decade as in-house counsel in the music and broadcast industry. Cliff is now part of the team spearheading our Media & Entertainment sector for the firm and he now acts for some of the world's largest names in mobile, brands, recorded music, mobile, live music, radio, audio-visual production and online. He also specialises in working with clients whom are embracing content-based entertainment for the first time such as FMCG and lifestyle brand owners, advertising agencies, digital agencies, investment funds and financial institutions. He has a passion for working on innovative new business models, advertiser-funded programming and in the monetisation of format rights.The Media & Entertainment Group is ranked in the "Legal 500" and "Chambers" and Cliff is ranked as a 'leading individual' in both directories. He is also the founder and a director of "Eleven", a business advisory company working with disruptive business models in the world of Digital Media, Film and Sport.


Pete Downton, Deputy CEO - 7digital

Pete joined 7digital in June 2014, assuming overall responsibility for its commercial strategy. He brings over 15 years of operational and strategic experience within the heart of the nascent digital music and consumer technology businesses to the role. Prior to 7digital, Pete held key leadership roles at Imagination Technologies, including responsibility for content and consumer experiences across both the Imagination Technologies and PURE businesses. In addition, Pete spearheaded the company's investment in Audioboom. Before joining Imagination, Pete spent over a decade working for Warner Music Group, holding senior management positions in the company's International Marketing and Business Development teams. He helped to build Warner Music International's reputation as one of the most innovative, creative and respected media players in the digital arena and played a key role in establishing ongoing relationships with major global partners such as iTunes, Orange and Vodafone.


Christian Harris, Head of Digital Entertainment - Three

Christian Harris is unusual in the world of telecoms having started his career in radio and television with Granada TV and then subsequently moved over to mobile content with Sonera Zed. Following this, Christian launched his own video business, Gorillabox, which sold in 2014 and then joined Deezer at UK MD. He is now Head of Digital Entertainment at Three, leading all content initiatives and owning the strategy for content going into 5G.


Ric Salmon, Partner and Director - ATC Management

Ric Salmon is a partner and director at ATC Management. ATC has a roster of over 60 management clients including the likes of Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, Faithless, Johnny Marr, Trevor Horn along with a roster of over 400 acts through its live division, ATC-Live. Prior to ATC, Ric founded management company Harvest Entertainment in 2007. Harvest represented globally established artists such as Seal, Morrissey and Joss Stone, while developing a number of exciting young emerging artists. Ric remains a long-time senior A+R consultant to Warner Music working across the East West, Rhino and ADA divisions, and through that role has worked with artists such as The Corrs, Bette Midler, Boyzone, Beverley Knight and many others.

Prior to founding Harvest, Ric previously held senior roles at various major and independent record labels including Sony Music, Ministry of Sound, and more recently Warner Music International where he was Vice President of A&R reporting to the global CEO. Ric began his public achievements in the world of music when he was just 18 by winning the Daily Telegraph Young Jazz Musician of the Year 1994. It was at University, while studying for a degree in Classical Music, that Ric began producing and releasing singles with independent labels in London and in 1997 he was taken on as both General Manager and A&R Manager at Serious Records. Two years later Ric became Senior A&R Manager at Sony Music. In 2000 he took up the position of Head of A&R at Ministry of Sound where he stayed until taking the role at WMI in 2004. Ric currently sits on the board of the MMF, and a number of other not-for-profit organisations.


Sylvain Thevenot, Managing Director - Netgem UK

Sylvain joined the executive committee of Netgem in 2015, initially establishing the London office to run EE TV as a managed service. With a strong leadership background in both ‘start-up’ (he founded one of the first ISPs in France) and fixed and mobile telecom operators (running large P&Ls for Vodafone, TalkTalk, EE), Sylvain brings more than 20 years’ commercial experience and now leads Netgem’s operator solutions across the world, focused on driving Netgem expansion with new products and new customers


Rich Robinson, Senior VP - Warner/Chappell Music

As part of his new role, Robinson will build the Creative Services team outside the US. He will also lead Warner/Chappell’s international sync strategy, coordinating markets outside the U.S., and will work closely with Mike Smith, Warner/Chappell UK’s Managing Director. At Warner Music, Robinson worked closely with repertoire owners to negotiate and secure the commercial use of recorded music for major advertising campaigns, film trailers, TV programs and video games, across multiple platforms. He also established and oversaw music supervision for films and TV, including Netflix’s Residue, and feature length films including Kill Your Friends and I, Tonya. Robinson successfully placed tracks for significant advertisements including the coveted John Lewis Christmas campaign for two consecutive years with songs from Lily Allen and Gabrielle Aplin.

During his time at Warner, he won a number of awards, including 15 Music Week Sync Awards, four British Arrow awards at this year’s ceremony, and 13 Music & Sound Awards, including the Best Brand + Band Partnership trophy in 2018. Robinson began his career in the recorded music industry in 2006, joining EMI as a Business Development Manager. He rose through the ranks to become VP of Synchronization for Europe and the Rest of the World in 2012. The following year he joined Warner Music Group as VP of Synchronization for the UK and Europe, and he was promoted to SVP in 2015. Prior to joining EMI, Robinson worked as a music consultant for advertising giant Saatchi & Saatchi.


Stephen O'Reilly, Director - ie:music

Stephen O’Reilly is a director of London based management company ie:music and manage artist including Robbie Williams, Lily Allen and Passenger amongst others. ie:music was established in 1992 by two industry veterans, David Enthoven and Tim Clark. The company is focused solely on the management of artists and its philosophy is that their artists’ interests are paramount. As digital technology throws the music industry into turmoil, ie:music believes that great opportunities come from disarray. The company embraces digital technology as an extraordinary facilitator of artist – fan communications, as a means of encouraging transparency and of making everything from ticketing to downloading and streaming more effective and efficient. Clark and Enthoven’s mantra: the artist and the fan are the two most important parts of the music industry, everything else is just the gloop in the middle!


Siavash Mahdavi, CEO - AI Music

Siavash Mahdavi always had two passions in life, technology and music. By age 10, he would sit at his dad’s computer for hours playing, making 3D designs using software developed by a company called Autodesk. His only distraction being his piano practise. In high school, he founded the Artificial Intelligence society. At university, he studied Mechatronics, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and went straight into a PhD in Evolutionary Robotics. Once graduated, Siavash started Within, a company that used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generatively design complex forms that would then be 3D Printed. His software paved the way for a new generation of tools that would fully exploit the new-found design freedoms that 3D Printing offered. Within made breakthroughs in the design of lightweight aircraft components, customised running shoes and even orthopaedic implants. Four years later his story came full circle when Autodesk, the 3D modelling software company made an offer to acquire Within for $90m. Siavash spent the next 10 months helping integrate both the tech and the team into Autodesk before moving on. He has invested in several start up in the AI and manufacturing space. He also finally combined his passion of music with his expertise in AI and start-ups, founding AI Music. With a diverse team of experts, AI Music plans to shake up the way in which music is created and consumed using AI.


Andy Barnes, Executive IT Architect, Watson IOT - IBM

Andy is an Executive IT Architect in IBM's Watson IoT practice and specialises in AI and digital concierges. He is responsible for leading engagements with clients to get them enabled and working with Watson Assistant Solutions to successfully drive AI into their businesses and out to their customers. With a focus on Machine Learning and Watson Technologies in the IBM Cloud, he works with clients and business partners to develop an ecosystem to develop architectures and solutions to solve real world business problems. Previously, he was a head architect in IBM's Digital and Mobile CTO Group and lead global complex systems integration projects across major technology trends.


Joel Sietsema, SVP of Brand Management - Sound United

Joel Sietsema is the SVP of Brand Management, Marketing & Design for Sound United – portfolio company to leading global consumer audio brands Denon, Marantz, Boston Acoustics, Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, Classé, and HEOS. In this role, Joel is charged with leading all brand and business strategies, positioning development, global market planning, product strategy, and brand design development. Sietsema holds a BA in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Michigan, and a MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in Brand Strategy and Marketing.
