Worldwide K-12 mobile PC shipments are forecast to increase by 27% YoY during 2025 to reach 43 million units. Refresh activity notably in the USA and also in Japan with GIGA2 as well as ongoing national project deployments will fuel device demand.
The market performance in the first quarter of 2025 was unseasonally strong. The continued rollout of GIGA combined with a rush to build inventory in the USA ahead of the introduction of import tariffs boosted volumes in the opening months.
The deployment of AI integrated PCs remains slow with initial activity being focused on test deployments. The high cost of AI integrated PCs as well as Co-Pilot and Gemini user licenses are expected to limit adoption in the near to mid term.
